STONEHOUSE EVENTS' GREATEST MOMENTS OF 2012

Every day there are lessons to be learned and moments to be celebrated...2012 was full of so many amazing moments that helped me grow as a person and as a business.  I am so thankful for an incredible year and wanted to share some of Stonehouse Events' Greatest Moments of 2012!

Best Weddings of 2012
I was so inspired by each couple that I had the privilege to witness become husband and wife.  Helping my couple's plan their wedding day is an experience I truly cherish.  It reminds me everyday of the gift of marriage and how special Love is.  These weddings were like no other and their love stories truly inspired me.

Martha's 30th Birthday Party and Baby Announcement
This was an incredible celebration for me to witness because I had planned Martha and Watson's wedding three years ago.  Martha used this milestone birthday to announce to her closest family and friends that she was pregnant.  Her birthday cake had a baby in a carriage hidden on the back.  Right before she announced to her family she was pregnant, she turned the cake around to reveal the little baby!  It was an unforgettable moment!

Carrie Wildes Photography New Studio Event
Helping Carrie plan her new studio event was so fun!  Being a part of this celebration was very special to me because Carrie and I had shared our first NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) meeting together, with me as a new wedding planner and her as a new photographer.  It has been awesome to watch her build her photography business.  She is now one of the most sought after photographer's in Tampa and her couple's just love her.  I am so happy for her and glad that we have remained friends all of this time.

The Search Foundation at The Special Event hosted in Tampa, Florida
I had the privilege to work beside some of the most influential people in my industry on the Search Foundation event that took place at the Tampa Museum of Art. The amazing Janet Elkins from EventWorks,  Sasha Souza with Sasha Souza Events, Damany Daniel, Joella Hopkins, Corrine Dudine and many more!  The Search Foundation supports special event industry professionals in times of crisis through fundraising, volunteer services and donations.  This event marked their 15 year celebration.  Volunteering my time to such a great cause and helping raise awareness and funds that will make a difference in another event professionals life was so humbling.  I was so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team.  It was truly an amazing experience and a highlight in my career.  You can find out more about the Search Foundation at the following link:  http://www.searchfoundation.org/   If you click on the Events & Media tab and scroll down, you will see Stonehouse Events as the Event Producer.  :)

Featured work in The Knot magazine
I was thrilled when The Knot magazine selected one of my Real Wedings to share with their readers.  Kimberly and Ken's wedding was just perfect and Aaron Lockwood with Lockwood Studios captured it beautifully!  But, I was absolutely shocked to see one of my table designs featured on a Full page in the same issue!  It was called a Bright Idea for wedding inspiration. The vendors responsible for helping me bring my design to life were Redman Steele Florist, Linens by the Sea, Paper Presence, and the Tampa Museum of Art.  What an impeccable  team of vendors!  Divine Light Photography captured the beauty of the table just perfectly!  You can view more inspirational photos from both of these weddings on my website.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 18 YEARS TODAY!

Today I celebrate 18 years of marriage with my husband, Kurt.  As we celebrate this wonderful day, I am reminded of the gift of marriage.  It is such a beautiful and sacred covenant that can only be summed up in one word, Love.  It is a true test to the endless boundaries of love because it encompasses all things.  Being able to love someone on their best days but also on their worst days.  Loving each other when you agree and disagree on things.  I have learned so many valuable lessons about love and am so thankful to be able to share my life with Kurt.  The road has not always been easy but because of our commitment to each other, we are celebrating 18 years of marriage.  I am so blessed to have him and our beautiful family.

So on this special day, I want to take a moment and share this "Blessing for a Marriage".  This is to all of you who are married and for all of you who will be getting married!

BLESSING FOR A MARRIAGE  by James Dillet Freeman

May your marriage bring you all the exquisite excitements a marriage should bring, and may life grant you also patience, tolerance, and understanding.
May you always need one another - not so much to fill your emptiness as to help you to know your fullness. A mountain needs a valley to be complete; the valley does not make the mountain less, but more; and the valley is more a valley because it has a mountain towering over it. So let it be with you and you.
May you need one another, but not out of weakness.
May you want one another, but not out of lack.
May you entice one another, but not compel one another.
May you embrace one another, but not out encircle one another.
May you succeed in all important ways with one another, and not fail in the little graces.
May you look for things to praise, often say, "I love you!" and take no notice of small faults.
If you have quarrels that push you apart, may both of you hope to have good sense enough to take the first step back.
May you enter into the mystery which is the awareness of one another's presence - no more physical than spiritual, warm and near when you are side by side, and warm and near when you are in separate rooms or even distant cities.
May you have happiness, and may you find it making one another happy.
May you have love, and may you find it loving one another.

Here's to another 18 + years!

Much Love,

Cindy Stonehouse

HAPPY 2013!

We really enjoyed working with Maryclare and Rob.  They were such a beautiful couple and after listening to their Best Man and Matron and Maid of Honor toasts, it was easy to see that everyone else felt the same way about these two remarkable individuals.  Maryclare's style was pure elegance.  Throughout the year of planning, Maryclare's original vision was slightly altered and we incorporated an elegant tropical feeling to the day.  Her color combination was cranberry and sand.  With the backdrop of the magnificent Lowe's Don Cesar Hotel on St. Petersburg Beach, the weekend was a celebration of love that began with their intimate ceremony on the steps in the Courtyard.  Everything came together flawlessly.

The bride's bouquet was made of of white Cymbidium Orchids with a slight cascade.  The bridesmaids bouquets consisted of pink hydrangeas and pink Cymbidium orchids, they complimented the dresses just beautifully!  The groom and groomsmen wore coordinating Cymbidium Orchid blooms.

The tables for the reception were dressed in Champagne Lamour linens with a coordinating napkin in a pocket fold holding the menu card. Greenery was placed in the center of the table where three varying heights of floating candles rested on top with bold beautiful flower buds tucked around with flickering votives. The guests enjoyed a four course meal beginning with a Lobster Wellington with Chive Lobster Butter and ended with a variety of chocolates, truffles and chocolate covered strawberries!  The food was superb followed by their wedding cake which was delicious and stunning!

As the reception concluded, guests filled small pastry boxes with muffins, bagels, and danishes to take with them and enjoy in the morning!  It was a wonderful day to begin the rest of their lives!  Thank you Maryclare and Rob for choosing Stonehouse Events to help you make your wedding day dreams come true!  We had a pleasure working with you both and wish you all of the best in your future together!
